Russian Hackers Target U.S. Banks [REPORT]

Russian state-sponsored cyber hackers, or organizations with state ties, are preparing to target Western banks and financial institutions, some in the U.S., a new report from cyber security firm Root9B says.
The groups were identified as APT28 and Pawn Storm and are in the process of registering domain names similar to those of legitimate businesses as well as establishing command-and-control servers for a malware attack that centers on a new type of computer virus, the report said.
