Peter Kenny always turns up some gems in his daily morning note from Knight (www.knight.com). Great market insight, interesting links and he finds some great “factoids.” He picked up this one from the WSJ this weekend (I had missed it), but the message hits home loud and clear:
There was a letter to the editor of the WSJ yesterday that was short and sweet.
It said that we could comprehend the vastness between $1 million, $1 billion and $1 trillion of our tax dollars if we look at them as if they were units of time.
One million seconds is approx. 11.5 days
One billion seconds is nearly 32 yrs.
One trillion seconds is more than 30,000 yrs.
