Is the Next Social Phenomenon?

The other day I sat with Chris, the founder of, and was fascinated with his business model and how he, thru his platform, has aggregated over 110 million people’s social plans (and it’s growing rapidly).
So what is It’s a platform that allows users to connect vis-a-vis events and Geographic regions. Chris describes his platform as “an innovative future-looking, location-based service [LBS], which focuses on real-world social life.”
What I really found interesting about it is that he is targeting the geo/event based arena, because thru his platform users can peek in to the venues/events and see which of your friends and friends of friends are there and which are planning to be there.
I think a platform makes events and places more relevant, by interest and geographic factors, and allows users to connect.
