Rising health care costs in New Jersey continue to be one of the state’s most pressing challenges. A recent analysis from Commonwealth Fund found that New Jersey is the fourth most expensive state for family health coverage. In fact, from 2010-2013 in New Jersey, family premiums increased by 7.4 percent per year. The national average for premium increases was 4.9 percent per year.
