While ChatGPT is certainly amazing, it pales in comparison to the next generation version of this technology that OpenAI announced in March: GPT-4. The system is currently available for paid subscribers to ChatGPT, which charges $20 a month.

GPT-4 scores in the top 10% of test takers for a simulated bar exam. By comparison, ChatGPT remains in the bottom 10%. GPT-4 has also posted standout results for other exams like the GRE, SAT, and LSAT. 

But this system is more than about understanding words. It can also recognize and create images. In an OpenAI demo, GPT-4 was able to translate a handwritten sketch into a live website.
