GBI hits the street

The Federal Reserve’s recent dovish statements along with quantitative easing programs in Europe and Japan offer a strong case for gold, said Robert Alderman, Head of Wealth Management for GBI. Alderman added that gold mining stocks has fared well this year and lower supply will also help boost gold prices. He said the geopolitical premium in gold will rise as worries about ISIS and the Ukraine increase. As for investors, Alderman suggests they have at least 5% of their portfolio in precious metals. Finally, Alderman said investors should consider owning physical gold because it is a pure play on the metal.
